Our History

In 1969, my dad, Ian, travelled to India on a journey of exploration. Over the next two decades, he returned to India time and again to meet some of the country’s finest, most original artisans.

Later, my mum, Jakki, grew the business into a team of twenty odd people, united by a passion for unmistakable style, handmade products and rubbish.

Today the business is ran by myself, Daisy Snow and a fabulous team of 8 people. Our goal is to run a commercially viable business which uses its voice and purchasing power as a tool to make positive change across the world.

We want to show how you can use trade to improve people's quality of life whilst having a minimal negative impact on the planet.

We are proud to have become a certified B Corp in June 2022.
