This family run company is located within a low-income community and create employment for 200 people, including 80 women from the local area. They typically support chronically underemployed people by keeping alive their handiwork skills in traditional weaving throughout their production and providing them with living wages. They donate to educational trusts so that children receive funding to pay for school fees that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to go attend. They are SA8000 certified, which means they are committed to workers’ human rights and well-being and treat their employees fairly.
